ANNUAL REPORT

Presented during the Annual Day celebration 2012

Good evening Ladies  & Gentlemen

   Distinguished  Chief guest Brigadier S Sabharwal Madam, Mrs. Sumita Sabharwal, guests, parents, my colleagues and dear students.

                        It is my proud privilege to welcome you all on this auspicious occasion of the Annual Day of our school. First of all let me extend my heartiest welcome to our Chief Guest Sir your presence among us today has really lifted our spirits and boosted our enthusiasm. I am particularly grateful to you for readily accepting our invitation to grace the occasion as chief guest. I am also indebted to Madam for graciously accepting the invitation and honouring us by her august presence. Next I would like to welcome all other distinguished guests and principals from other KVs who have added colour and vibrancy to this evening.  Let me also make use of this opportunity to welcome all parents who have come in large numbers to make this evening a memorable one. Finally a warm welcome to all my colleagues and dear students.

Ladies and gentlemen,

 It is my proud privilege to present the Annual Report of KV 1 devlali for the year 2010-13 before you.

            We at KV No. 1, Devlali strictly adhere to this dictum and try our level best to translate it into the day to day activities in the school.

ACADEMICS

            Academically speaking the year 2012-2013 had been an exceedingly satisfying one. The performance of the students of class XII in the board examination conducted by CBSE was outstanding.  4 students were awarded CGPA by CBSE.  They are Mst.Sourav Raha, Mst.Sourabh Palde, Miss Neha Thakur and Miss Ankita Singh. It is also my proud privilege to announce that our school got 100 percent result in all the three streams of std. XII and X and one of the 7 schools to achieve this feat. Miss Oshine Roy stood first in the science stream with 82.6%, Miss Preeti Kumari stood first in the Arts stream with 82 percent and Miss Harkiranpreet stood first in Commerce with 86.8 %. Miss Preeti stood fifth in the region. The performance index of commerce stream was 70.96 and I deem it my proud privilege that this is the highest in the Mumbai region. Miss Anju Krishnani PGT Commerce had put in herculean efforts for this feat.

TEACHER ACHIEVERS

Mr. O. P. Pandey TGT Hindi was given the KVS Incentive Award. Mr. V. R. Yadav, TGT Hindi and Mrs. Tehseen Shaikh, PRT were given incentive awards by KVS Mumbai Region for excellence in teaching. Mr.Balasaheb Londhe was awarded by the Rotary Club of Devlali was his service to the blind.

CCA

Co-curricular activities are an integral part of KVS System which provides an excellent platform for students to showcase their latent talent. Various Inter house activities are conducted regularly which help in the all round development of the students.

HINDI PAKHWADA

Hindi pakhwada was celebrated from 14th to 28 th September with a large number of purposeful activities. It was organized with the intention of encouraging children to honour Hindi by bestowing it with the place of pride it deserves.

EXHIBITIONS

KVS organizes exhibitions in Science & Social Science at different levels from school level to national level to familiarize the students with the latest developments in science and technology and the world around them. At the social science Exhibition held at cluster level many of our charts and models were selected for the regional level and National level.  Our school stood second in Group dance and group song at the cluster level. The students got first position at the cluster level events and second prize in the Regional level English and Hindi debate respectively.

SPORTS AND GAMES.

 Our children regularly participate in the various cluster level, regional level and national level meets organized by KVS. 246 students participated in the cluster level events, 138 students in regional levelan d 17 in the national level event.I am also happy to announce Miss Bhavna of Std.VIII and Mst.Vikram Singh Rathod of Std.XII B have been selected for SGFI in Throwball and Boxing events respectively.

SCOUT & GUIDE

Scout and guide movement is another platform meant for the personality development of the students. Pratham and dwitya sopan camps were held in this vidyalaya. 120 students participated in this. 10 students participated in the Tritya Sopan Testing held at KV Jalgaon. 4 scouts and 3 guides participated in the Rajya puraskar testing held at KV 3 Colaba. As far as the teachers are concerned Mr. D Bhamre TGT English and Mrs. Veena Kumari TGT Science did basic masters’ training. Mr. V R Yadav TGT Hindi became a trainer of the Basic Scout Master camp held at KV Ojhar.

Computer

         The Vidyalaya has maintained student PC ratio 15:1 as per KVS rules, with LCD projectors and digital star board.

          7 students have been selected for 2nd level of National Cyber Olympiad 2012 and they have been awarded with gold (3 students), Silver (2 Students) and Bronze (2 Students) medals in 1st level of 12th NCO 2012.

ART

ART In the National level painting competition on Energy Conservation 2 students were awarded first prizes. In the All India Greeting Card Competition organized by the defense Sector 7 students got gold medals.

LIBRARY

We also have a well equipped library with 18224 books and we also house an online library. E granthalaya is another feather in the cap.

SUPW

Information about electrical gadgets are given and students are also taught to handle gadgets are given practical training during various programmes to arrange mikes etc.

PTA 

Regular PTA meetings held in the school after each test & exam are a key element in improving the performance of the students, academically and otherwise.

 PRIMARY  SECTION      

In order to facilitate activity based teaching, we have initiated many projects under CMP in the primary section also we have set up a well equipped activity room containing computer, TV, VCR, digital duplicator machine, digital copier  LCD etc.     

 Finally a big thank you to God almighty for His incessant which helped us to sail smoothly this year. My heartfelt thanks are also due to KVS officials for their guidance & support and all the parents and well wishers of the school for their co-operation.
